Mission / Vision Statement

The Social and Justice Committee of the Church of the Holy Trinity, without pride or prejudice,resolves to accept the gospel message of Jesus

to promote human dignity and ensure the basic quality of life for all people.

This mission is concerned with the church's documents on Social Justice and Peace. It promotes the application of these

teachings to the parish - and our local concerns.

It includes but is not limited to the following;

Documents of the Church - Fr. Ed -Documents located in church library.

St. Vincent De Paul - Jim Sloan - Providing low key assistance to families and individuals.

Local Food Pantry - Karen McDonnell - Monetary donations accepted.

Christmas hats and gloves - Margaret Gursky - Provides for 125 families.

T - 4 - C and Share A Christmas - Carol Wallace - Outreach and mentoring program.

Ecology issues / Club 3000 - Denise Minocchi - Seeks to inform the community of local environmental issues such as clean water and landfills.

Local and global justice issues such as

Abortion and Right to Life - Birthright - Julie Mercier - Collecting donations for mothers and child, Birthright of Dover.

Capital Punishment and dignity of life

Euthanasia and ageing

Labor issues

Community Fire Safety - Joe Minocchi - Educating the parishioner on fire safety. Fire prevention week in October event.

Wheels of Hope (Rebuilding and or repair of discarded wheelchairs and walkers to help meet global need) - Loren Wallace

Migrant and immigrant issues - Dodie Houze - St. Joe's two annual dinners, Christmas and Epiphany - provide driving assistance to dinners.
